Evening Standard, Online Weekend Reporter

The Evening Standard continues to expand after yet another record-breaking month as the UK’s fastest growing news site.

We are looking for an ambitious reporter to join a fast-paced 24/7 operation, covering not just the capital’s breaking stories but also serving our ever-growing UK and global audiences.

This role comprises three overnight shifts a week on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but you will initially work a five-day week shift to gain familiarity with the site.

The role requires a confident, self-motivator who is experienced at identifying and developing stories that represent the Standard’s brand.

The skills and experience required include:

• Fast and accurate coverage of breaking stories
• Ability to write clean, compelling and accurate copy
• Experience at publishing on a web CMS
• Understanding and regular use of social media
• Experience of using analytics platforms
