The Role:

The Times and The Sunday Times digital team are looking for two junior audience strategists to help to curate our digital experiences.

This editorial role will be an important bridge to departments across the business, including marketing and product.

They will be expected to use skills in storytelling, user journeys and data analysis to optimise pages for readers and crawlers alike.

You’ll need to be up to date with the news as well as confident with using data to derive insights.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Curation of topic pages to help readers to discover evergreen journalism
  • Regular analysis of data
  • Feeding insights back to Product teams and the newsroom


Our ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Has spent time in a newsroom or working on covering the news
  • Is confident using data to derive insights and apply them in their day-to-day work
  • Wants to ensure readers have the best possible experience when reading our digital products


Experience and skills we would like to see:

  • A background in curation/editorial/content/understanding the purpose of content
  • News sense
  • Data literacy - experience in translating and manipulating data
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships quickly
  • Some consideration of UX/user journeys
