Barron's is seeking a deputy digital managing editor to join its dynamic newsroom.

This editor would join a team of reporters and editors that is dramatically increasing the size and diversity of Barron's digital audience by producing high-quality coverage of markets, tech, business and the economy.

The editor would work across departments to create innovative ways to tell stories, engage with communities, and provide readers with valuable tools and resources.

This editor will work with the digital managing editor to execute day-to-day operations across a number of key digital initiatives, and fill in for that editor as needed.

Additional responsibilities include working with distribution platforms; assisting with assigning, editing, and production of articles; overseeing Barron's mobile and web home pages; and helping direct social media, newsletters and push notifications.

Qualifications:

At least five years of editing and managing experience in a digital environment. Knowledge of markets and business is a plus.

The successful candidate will enjoy a fast-paced environment, be passionate about the news, and thrive on working closely with a growth-oriented Barron's team.

A keen news sense and an understanding of audience data and engagement are essential, as is the ability to select and conceive visuals that tell stories and enhance their impact.
