The inews.co.uk website has embarked on a period of steep growth. Last year its audience grew by 457%: our website is one of the fastest growing and most trusted news sites in the UK (PAMCo, March 2019).

The i’s editorial staff has grown every year since its launch to match the audience and financial success of the brand across all platforms.

Britain's youngest national title is recruiting an experienced and talented Page Layout and Copy Sub-Editor to join its team in central London.

The successful candidate will have:

• A flair and passion for design, excellent news sense, great initiative, and the ability to write headlines that sing.
• A strong interest in news and current affairs.
• The ability to work quickly, creatively and accurately under pressure, to tight deadlines.
• Excellent knowledge of InDesign, InCopy and content management systems, preferably Atex.
• Strong copy-subbing skills, from crafting compelling prose to preventing legal problems.
• Strong experience in a senior production role at a daily title.
• Some digital production experience.
• Passion for the i project, and an appreciation of i's structure, style and ethos.
