At Hearst UK, there’s always more to the story. Join us as our new Senior Tester within the Food team to start the next chapter in your career.

Sitting within the Hearst Institute, you could be testing food products and services across the whole spectrum of Hearst’s 25 brands, from Men’s Health and Women’s Health to Good Housekeeping and Delish, which massively broadens the coverage potential for brands.

We’ve created a working environment that encourages everyone to pull together. We never stop looking for brave new ideas. We’ll always try to develop and improve, we trust each other to do our best, and we have fun as we build on our heritage to make history.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be part of a close-knit team that taste tests and reviews all manner of food products and services. Everything from gut health products and BBQ must-haves, to products you’ll find on the Christmas lunch table.

Whatever it is, we sample products from as many different suppliers as possible, including grocers, independents, specialist and online retailers.

Built on decades of product testing and expert editorial know-how, the results of our testing can influence purchasing decisions and assure consumers of the quality and value of a product or service.

Your role would involve working closely and providing support to the Food Testing Manager and deputising in their absence.

You will assist in driving the food testing strategy across Hearst’s editorial and commercial platforms to maximise the reach and potential of our reviews.

You must be passionate about food and have experience with food writing. Demonstrable experience in leading projects, eagerness to try new and inventive products as well as honesty and objectivity when it comes to giving an opinion is also important.
