We have a new opportunity for a creative Digital Publisher who will run Project Neon, our ground-breaking collaboration with Google to develop a new and sustainable digital model for local media.

The successful candidate will have experience of publishing at a senior level and of developing innovative solutions to the challenges facing the local news industry.

You will be equally talented in creating innovative digital content and being commercially astute as this role will take on full responsibility for the P&L of this project.

You will easily be able to develop partnerships with relevant third parties and have a proven ability in managing diverse talent from editorial, commercial, marketing, technology and data insight.

It’s important you are confident in public presenting as Project Neon is a programme of significant interest to publishers worldwide and part of Archant’s commitment to Neon is to share progress with the industry at large.

This is a high-pressure and demanding role that will, by definition, involve both successes and failures, so a positive mindset and sheer doggedness will be important.

This position reports directly to Archant’s Chief Content Officer. Project Neon has two years left to run, but it can be assumed that this role will extend beyond the life of Neon if the project delivers its goal of creating a new and profitable model for local media.
