Job Details

City A.M. is looking for an ambitious, enterprising and hungry financial journalist to cover central banks, markets and economic data.

They will be comfortable with writing short, sharp breaking news stories as well as interviewing senior figures at the Bank of England, as at home pulling apart an OBR projection as they are writing FTSE 100 winners and losers stories.

Reporters will be expected to contribute long-reads, interviews and opinion pieces for both print and online as part of a lively newsroom.

The successful candidate will need a good grounding in economics and global finance, with a flair for turning the dismal science into engaging writing and snappy headlines.
