Publishing Business, Editor / Writer
Publishing Business produces magazines for London's most prestigious locations - places like Belgravia, Mayfair, Chelsea and Marylebone.
We are looking for a writer with a minimum of four years' experience to help us continue our development on titles that feature strong community news, business, fashion, art, food and property sections.
You'll be a trained journalist and enjoy working within communities to build relationships - this means no aversion to an evening or two each week at receptions and events (in "normal" times).
You could be writing a gift guide in the morning, interviewing an actor or CEO of a large corporation in the afternoon, while squeezing in a chat with a councillor and a retailer in between.
You'll enjoy meeting people from all walks of life as much of our work is done face to face.
Being a local magazine, we engage with our community – we are a part of it rather than simply observing it from the outside and believe that there is more to producing lifestyle magazines than rehashing press releases.
Much of your time will involve writing copy - but you will also be expected to drive the content throughout the titles that you are involved with.
During the pandemic we are mostly working from home but when things return to a more normal footing, we will be spending a lot of our time actually in the areas that we write about.
