Cosmopolitan is the leading monthly glossy magazine for young women and one of the most respected digital media brands in the country. We reach our readers wherever they are, be that in print, online, on social or with video.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Beauty Director you will be creating industry-leading beauty content for Cosmopolitan’s print and digital platforms

  • Source quality original beauty content that will engage the Cosmopolitan audience across all platforms (print & digital), including pitching video ideas, SEO-driven articles, social media franchises, celebrity interviews and long-form features.
  • Oversee and produce daily digital beauty content – including reporting on the latest beauty trends and ensuring shoppable content is always optimised and up to date with the latest products.
  • Take a central role in Cosmopolitan’s beauty video and social franchises, including producing original on-camera content and assisting the Beauty Director and Video Lead in the editing process.
  • Use Google Analytics to analyse data and make informed decisions about potential trends and areas of growth for the beauty section.
  • Attend virtual beauty events on behalf of the brand (both in and out of office hours) and liaise with PRs on product launches and exclusive opportunities.
  • Work with the design team and Beauty Director to maintain creative and engaging visuals across the section.

ABOUT YOU

  • A proven track record of writing traffic-driving, shareable beauty content for a digital brand.
  • The ability to write quickly, while retaining quality, legal safety and factual accuracy, as well as the witty, conversational tone our readers love and share.
  • Be immersed in the world of beauty – from an awareness of the latest industry happenings, to product launches and global social media trends.
  • Have a keen interest in wider issues and movements within beauty, along with a desire to push boundaries and create content that drives the industry forward.
  • Experience in creating self-shot content for video and social media channels.
  • A basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is a plus, but not a requirement.
