POLITICO is looking for a smart editor with strong news judgment to spearhead our opinion and forum sections. 

The ideal candidate will be an excellent writer with a knack for staying one step ahead of the news cycle and an enthusiasm for discovering new voices. 

Based in Brussels, with a focus on European politics, the job requires an editor who is equally comfortable editing newsy op-eds from top decision-makers as they are untangling intricate policy arguments or refining colorful features. 

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of editing experience;
• a college/university degree;
• strong English-language writing/editing skills; 
• ability to work under pressure and on deadline; 
• knowledge of other European languages is a plus.
