The Times and The Sunday Times are looking for an SEO analyst to help grow our readership and reach new audiences through search engines.

You will play a key role in continuing the digital evolution of the newspapers and the integration of SEO into our workflows.

Based in the newsroom’s audience team, this hybrid role will sit at the intersection between editorial, data, tech and product. 

The role requires you to derive insights from data and make recommendations on how to optimise our journalism and website.

Day to day you will be tracking SEO performance and putting forward ways to maximise search traffic to different sections (such as news, travel and money).

You will also be responsible for making the case for technical SEO improvements and providing forecasts to inform the product road map.

Key skills

  • In-depth knowledge of editorial and technical SEO
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Experience working with Google Analytics and SEO tools
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to visualise data
