We are now looking for an Editorial Assistant to join our busy and growing team supporting the React News editors. This is a great opportunity for an individual with an interest in real estate to kick start their editorial career in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

The Role and Responsibilities

Writing and sourcing stories from press releases and important company announcements in an efficient and timely manner in line with the publication’s house style.

Assisting React News journalists with research and collaborating on exclusive news stories including sourcing appropriate imagery.

Working closely with React News’ Head of Content Strategy to ensure that articles are published in the most effective and impactful way. This will including raising and maintaining overall standards of content through layout and search engine optimisation.

Overseeing React News’ crucial and regular social media output to maximise the reach of the publication’s content.

Requirements

A degree focused on journalism or publishing more broadly would be preferred.

Some limited experience in working in a newsroom environment would be preferred.

A portfolio of early‐stage career work would be advantageous.

Basic understanding of business and the economy.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Attention to detail and good problem‐solving skills.

Inquisitive nature, driven and self motivated.
