Job Details
Reach Nationals are looking for an experienced video editor to join their team. Within this role you will source, edit and produce video content to complement editorial pieces across our national digital sites and apps (Mirror, Express and Star)
This position will be predominantly home based with some office working within our London (Canary Wharf) office.

What will the role involve?
- Responsible for sourcing, verifying and editing clips to accompany top performing stories across the three brandsSourcing and pitching video led stories to editorsMaintaining brand safety guidelines across all contentEditing/subbing clips before they are uploaded to ensure compliance and the highest editorial standards across the video teamMonitoring analytics to ensure daily targets are met/exceededFilming and producing original content, both on demand and liveRegularly contributing ideas and pitches to drive the video project furtherConstantly monitoring social media for breaking stories and reactionTo read all the major global new websites and form a thorough knowledge of competitors
Who are we looking for?
- Will have previous professional experience as a Video Editor previously before, ideally within an editorial setting but this isn't essential. You will be confident with software such as Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and Audition desirableExperience of reversioning content for multiple platforms (website and social)Knowledge of video formats and experience of filming on a range of professional cameras Understanding of social/web-analytics platforms inc. Crowdtangle, Google Analytics and ChartbeatKnowledge of video vendors and agencies across the landscape of the industryAble to source and verify video inc. breaking news contentUnderstanding social media trends/audiences
