Your Role: To manage the input of picture payments for the Sun, working closely with the finance team

Day to day:

  • Oversee the daily input of picture payments to ensure all payments are uploaded correctly each week, ensure sign off of all payments to meet finance deadlines. Answer payment queries and act as the first point of escalation within the team for queries and/or to resolve issues. Support and oversee the setting up of new accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger.
  • Assist in the management and oversight of team workload, including ensuring quality standards are upheld, SLAs are met, and tasks are prioritised appropriately, 
  • Assist the Office Manager in ensuring that knowledge of team members is up-to-date plus identifying training needs and addressing these as appropriate.
  • Use critical thinking to provide efficient solutions to problems impacting the wider team, which take into account scalability, efficiency, service and risk.
  • Contribute to the improvement of processes by providing ideas and feedback that strike a balance between efficiency and risk.
  • Keep a diary of news events and anniversaries of events to cover up to date and inform staff/freelance photographers of their rotas. Refer to the diary where necessary. 
  • Compile a picture list for conference
  • Arrange for photographer accreditations as and when necessary.
  • Answer and process any admin queries from editors, photographers, agencies and staff.
  • Take on ad-hoc responsibilities as and when required to ensure the success of the team.
