Job Description:
Barron's Wealth & Asset Management Group is seeking an Editor-in-Chief who can help the unit expand its reach across the wealth management industry. The role requires a player / coach who can come up with innovative ideas for many different platforms, and then work with a small, hardworking team to make them happen. We are looking for a builder and a doer, who can not only conceive of new products, but also create them. Any given day on the job might include hosting a webinar or podcast, speaking at a live or virtual event, assigning and editing stories, working with the art director to redesign a section of the website, writing a newsletter, or creating new products for new audiences. In addition to serving and expanding our U.S. audience, the editor will help us serve advisors on three continents.
Responsibilities:
Lead editorial efforts to expand our community of financial advisors
Conceive and build new editorial offerings for advisors
Jointly oversee the Barron's Advisor website
Create innovative digital tools for financial advisors
Manage editorial efforts as we expand further overseas
Help plan agendas for virtual and live conferences
Build out newsletters, tools, rankings.
Moderate conference panels, host podcasts
Requirements:
Minimum 10 years digital editorial management experience
Deep knowledge of wealth management industry
Impeccable news judgment
Surfeit of common sense
Editorial experience across many platforms
Proven ability to work with designers to improve UX
Flexibility to adjust quickly as business evolves
