Job Description:
The Wall Street Journal is looking for a reporter to cover the fast changing dynamics of the economy in Asia, with special focus on China. The region is home to two of the globe's three largest economies, it is the world's factory floor, it has the most successful technology sector outside of Silicon Valley, and it is the crucial link in supply chains tested by surging demand and political constraints.
You will work with our team of economic reporters in China, Asia and around the world to break news and illuminate emerging trends. We will expect you to sift quickly through disparate, sometimes contradictory data and pair the results with real-world examples to deliver the authoritative analysis our audience of decision makers requires.
You will need demonstrated experience successfully covering economic issues at a high level. You should have highly advanced writing and reporting skills, a deep well of ideas, and the temperament to work in a team of driven competitors.
Please submit a cover letter describing your experience and interest in this job, a detailed resume, and a half-dozen clips with explanations about what the stories show about your capabilities.
