Job Details
Reach PLC are looking for an Editorial Head of Newsletters to lead our brand new Newsletters Lead team.
Our email newsletters have delivered record sign-ups and growth in the first quarter of this year - and now we are looking for an experienced senior journalist to help us build upon these foundations.
Our newsletters focus on subjects ranging from breaking news to local nostalgia. Working within our audience engagement team, you will strengthen our relationship with our newsletter audiences and manage a team of Newsletter leads throughout the UK as they draw upon data insights, you will craft and curate newsletter content, develop ideas for new newsletters and engage with our audiences.
The successful candidate will be someone who is experienced within newsletters engagement, has a strong editorial background and is a confident leader. This is a senior editorial leadership role, at editor level within our business.
The role will be home based, so candidates can be based anywhere in the UK for this position.
What will the role involve?
- Supervise newsletters across Reach plc's brands, from concept to successful delivery and performance analysis
- Work closely with newsroom leads and CRM managers, to develop, implement and assess strategies to increase newsletter subscribers, engagement and page views, while minimising subscriber churn
- Manage a small team of newsletter specialists providing support to a network of newsletter leads in regional newsrooms
- Develop and implement projects to increase user registrations
Regular analysis of newsletter performance to generate actionable insights for newsletter leads across Reach plc
Who are we looking for?
- Someone with experience working with newsletters, preferably in a digital publishing environment
- Generating actionable insights from data; identifying outliers which require investigation
- Familiarity with email providers and / or content management systems
- Understanding of on-platform digital audience
- Strong relationship building, communication and teamwork skills - essential to get this job
