Job Description:The Wall Street Journal is looking for an experienced and enterprising reporter for our Moscow bureau, with a particular focus on coverage of Russia's security policies, national defense and the role of Russia's military on the global stage.
The Russia story is more important than it has been in decades, with the country playing a much more assertive international role under President Vladimir Putin, a course that has increasingly put Moscow at odds with the U.S. and much of the West. We are looking for a strong reporter to lead a wide-ranging reportage -- getting inside Russia's cyber espionage complex, explaining the country's strategic aims and chronicling Moscow's activities in the Mideast and elsewhere.
You should be able to write major stories with flair, and have experience writing quick, clean copy on breaking news, as well as more complex and ambitious enterprise pieces. Strong Russian language skills are a distinct advantage.
You will be based in Moscow and report to our Russia bureau chief. To apply, please submit a CV, cover letter and five clips.
