Archant, Commercial Features Writer - home based

We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced writer to join the commercial content team working across Archant’s portfolio of luxury magazines.   

This busy team write on a broad range of topics including education, interiors, property, finance, food and drink, business, travel, weddings, fashion, health and beauty and host of other lifestyle topics.  

In particular, you will be writing for our County Life magazine supplements as well as working closely with commercial clients on bespoke brand partnership features for individual titles in the main portfolio.   

The content is mostly client-led and paid for, so you will need to have excellent commercial acumen and client-facing communication skills. The projects and topics you produce often need a quick, reactive turnaround, so you will need to enjoy working in a pressurised, deadline-focused environment.  

Our ideal candidate will also be someone creative with a proven passion for magazines, who loves to generate new ideas and will work confidently and comfortably with our commercial teams.   

To create stories for our clients, strong interviewing skills and an ability to draw out interesting facts are essential. This will mainly be over the phone or via video calls, so we are also looking for a candidate with great customer service communication skills.   

This is a full-time role working from home.

• Ability to work to tight deadlines  
• Ability to manage a busy workload and multiple deadlines 
• Experience using a content management system (CMS) 
• A proven passion for magazines
