JOB DESCRIPTION

At Hearst UK, there’s always more to the story. Join us as our Commercial Digital Designer to start the next chapter in your career. We're looking for a Junior & a midweight Designer to join our team.

We’re the UK’s leading premium publisher, and the people behind iconic media brands such as Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Country Living. We’ve created a working environment that encourages everyone to pull together. We never stop looking for brave new ideas. We’ll always try to develop and improve, we trust each other to do our best, and we have fun as we build on our heritage to make history.

We are a growing team of hard working and talented designers, editors, art directors and video editors,  responsible for the creation of industry-leading branded content. We pride ourselves on our ability to think creatively, be flexible, work collaboratively and in a fast paced environment. Working across the whole Hearst digital portfolio producing an array of products, no one day is the same!

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your role will be to produce thumb-stopping social posts, interactive media, ad banners and article composites for a vast array of clients, across multiple channels, for our many trusted brands. You will work on the creation of static and animated collateral for commercial campaigns, taking raw assets and turning them into spectacular designs that nail the client’s brief and are perfectly on brand for our titles. You will keep abreast of the latest design trends, software and social platforms to ensure our content stands out to our audiences. In this highly collaborative role, you will work closely with a variety of talented internal stakeholders to produce first class content on time and on brief.

ABOUT YOU

Our ideal candidate will be a highly self-motivated and an organised individual who is ready to tackle daily challenges, with a willingness to learn on the job and a strong team player mentality. Experience working in a fast paced advertising agency or in-house design team is preferred, along with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Your portfolio should showcase successfully delivered projects that demonstrate a strong flair for design, conceptual thinking and excellent attention to detail. It should also show us your ability to use Adobe Creative suite - namely: Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator and InDesign. Great communication skills and a positive/proactive attitude are a must.

WHAT WE OFFER

Under the guidance of the Senior Designer and Design Lead we hope to help you develop your skills and thrive in the ever-changing world of digital design, while gaining coveted experience working for world-class Hearst magazine brands and an exciting range of clients.

At Hearst UK, you can choose from a huge range of perks and benefits that can help you learn well, work well and live well including:

  • 25 days’ holiday (with the option to buy up to 5 additional holiday days)
  • Flexible working – we’re happy to discuss options!
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Healthcare cash plan
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Spend a charity day with your favourite good cause
  • Life assurance and pension scheme
  • Regular socials and more!

There’s more to your story than you imagine. And the next chapter begins right here. Please apply with a CV, Cover letter, and portfolio.
