Job Details

The Ipswich Star is looking for someone new to lead the team as Editor and we want someone who likes to do things a bit differently.

It's a campaigning title and we want someone who wants to take the brand forward and fight for the people of the town.

So how about taking a job where you can make a real difference not only to the title but also to the town you work in?

With the heavyweight East Anglian Daily Times as its sister title, there is plenty of opportunity to have a broader outlook across Suffolk as well, working in hand in hand and supporting the Editor of that title, too.

You'd be working for a really progressive and different type of company.

We are starting on a new journey to move our titles to apps where readers would pay to subscribe.

Through Google funding we have developed the first voice activated search technology for our brands.

You would be working with our award-winning Investigations Team - shortlisted once again for its campaigning investigations.

  • Salary up to £50,000
  • £1000 joining bonus
  • Full 25 days paid holiday + statutory bank holidays + your birthday day off !!
  • Structured career progression, ongoing training and personal performance reviews
  • Full range of benefits including
    • Discount Vouchers
    • Discounted Gym membership
    • Health and wellbeing support (GP appointments)
    • Cycle to Work scheme
    • Annual Volunteer work day
    • Archant Gold – matched charity fundraising

How do I apply?

If you are interested in applying for this position, please send us your CV and covering letter.

Please note that if you have not been invited in for an interview within two weeks of your application, then you can assume on this occasion that you have been unsuccessful.
