Are you an experienced editor or journalist, brimming with original ideas and looking for a new and exciting opportunity?

We are looking for a Deputy Lifestyle Editor to join our friendly Features team, generating and overseeing original content for both online and print.

What you’ll be doing…

• Deputising for our Lifestyle Editor who leads on our digital content and Head of Features, you will be continually working out how best to meet the needs of the hundreds of newspapers, magazines and websites we supply across the UK, Ireland and beyond.
• Frequently working with writers to come up with the features agenda for the day, based on what the world is talking about right now – and attending PA’s morning conference where senior staff across News, Entertainment, Video and more pitch in their ideas
• Commissioning, editing and publishing features across all our content areas, from Health, Wellbeing and Travel to Food, Fashion, Parenting and big-name interviews – with a continual focus on keeping everything we do legally safe and ready to print
• Organising and writing your own engaging articles in a fast-paced working environment, taking full advantage of PA’s brilliant celebrity access
• Helping us set up and deliver bespoke features projects for digital or print whenever needed
• Confidently taking charge when needed, handling problems when they arise and calmly knowing exactly what to do

Do you have….?

• Senior experience in writing and editing lifestyle content, and a genuine love of doing both?
• A never-ending supply of brilliant and original ideas across a wide range of lifestyle subject areas
• Knowledge and daily use of social media 
• Excellent sub editing skills 
• Experience in using analytics, forward planning, leading a team and interviewing celebrities is also helpful
• The ability to write and edit in different styles and tones of voice, for different audiences and platforms
• Sound knowledge of media law
• An NCTJ or equivalent qualification
