The Associate Director, Graphic Artist, is responsible for creating the overall design strategy that includes visual style and branding. The Associate Director, Graphic Artist will work closely with many parts of the organization, including marketing and the product and sales teams.

The Role / Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute and maintain a visual graphics style.
  • Develop concepts for brand, logos, all content, website components, video storyboards promotional material and other sales and marketing material
  • Be the lead conceptualiser against all creative briefs.
  • Communicate the business’s offering via compelling infographics and data visualization to explain complex financial data and financial concepts.
  • Develop, execute and maintain custom tools for infographics and data visualization.
  • Manage projects from conceptualization to delivery for print and digital
  • Directly contribute to project design and development: creating storyboards/initial graphic concepts, conceiving functional design solutions for sets.
  • Provide quality assurance of all creative deliverables.
  • Work with senior managers, research directors, analysts, editors, and the Branding and
  • Production groups (Graphic Artists and Desktop Publishers) to define the “graphic vocabulary” and “visual voice” of Moody’s research.
  • Produce both individual pieces as well as thematic stories across several research reports.
  • Develop the design strategy into new areas and using contemporary media to maintain a contemporary brand and content delivery
  • Serve in a research director role for visual content.
  • Appoint freelancers or additional resources to deliver all graphic art
  • Be the owner of brand and visual guidelines
  • Make sure the brand reflects company values, mission and vision consistently
  • Be the owner all the collateral and brand/logo repository. And maintain corporate consistency of brand use.
     

Qualifications:

  • BA, BFA, MFA in Graphic/Visual Design, Computer Graphics, Visual Communication, Fine/Studio Art, Journalism, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 5+ years experience in creative content design 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; stakeholder management experience is ideal
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Experience working with a global team is desirable
  • Knowledge and interest in business and technology related fields is desirable
  • Excellent skills in in Adobe CC InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator required. Candidates will ideally be familiar with Adobe CC AfterEffects and Microsoft PowerPoint, and will be comfortable designing for both print and web formats. Experience creating large-scale graphics (exhibition stands), interactive PDFs, infographics and icons desired; experience creating simple animations will be an advantage.
  • Must be able to problem solve independently.
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Online or hard copy portfolio/work examples required.
