The Wall Street Journal is seeking a business reporter to cover the global energy transition, based in London.
Companies are facing pressure from customers, investors and governments to pivot to cleaner energy sources amid concerns about climate change, and Europe is at the forefront of this shift and its challenges.
You should have a demonstrated track record of breaking news and delivering revelatory enterprise stories to dig into big oil companies such as Shell and BP, as well as renewables giants such as Enel and Iberdrola.
You will be capable of quickly spotting trends in decarbonization efforts and their myriad implications for Europe and globally. You will report to Global Energy and Climate Editor Miguel Bustillo, but also work closely with editors in London and colleagues in the U.S., the Middle East and elsewhere. Applicants should contact Miguel and Europe Business Editor Chip Cummins.
