  • Write 2-3 exclusive stories per week on key developments within your beat.

  • Lead coverage of the technology, media and telecoms space in Europe.

  • Closely monitor relevant developments within your beat, including market-moving events for BT Group, Sky, Liberty Global and Netflix.

  • Report breaking news with timeliness and accuracy.

  • Cover hearings, shareholder meetings, conferences, and other significant events.

  • Integrate related data and analysis and partner with research analysts to uncover emerging industry trends.

What we’re looking for:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to generate exclusive, breaking news as well as informative feature stories.

  • 2-5 years of professional reporting experience, ideally in a business journalism role.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to write quickly and clearly under deadline pressure.

  • Knowledge of the technology and/or telecoms industries a big advantage.

  • Command of journalistic standard methodology (AP style, libel issues, etc.)

  • The successful candidate, if based remotely, will occasionally be expected to travel to London for conferences, events and source meetings
