Building is a respected B2B publication with a proud 178-year history and we are looking for an experienced and ambitious reporter to break big stories about the construction industry.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic journalist with a proven track record as a reporter. Knowledge of the construction sector is welcome but not essential, but you do need to be a story-getter with plenty of scoops under your belt.
You will break off-diary, exclusive news stories in construction, housing, architecture and other areas of built environment business and policy.
You will contribute to rolling news on Building.co.uk, as well as our sister titles Building Design and Housing Today, and help deliver daily digital newsletters and the monthly print edition.
The full-time role will also involve writing features – including quick impact pieces for online, long-form analysis for print and exclusive interviews with the chief executives of the biggest companies in the sector.
We need team players who can get to grips with a wide range of complex topics – from fire safety and supply chain disruption, to finding out which firms are building the latest skyscraper or mega-infrastructure project.
You will need to have multimedia skills, including knowledge of content management systems, and experience presenting podcasts would be a bonus.
We have an agile working policy meaning staff can work from home or use our Wanstead office if they wish.
