Private Debt Investor (www.privatedebtinvestor.com), the leading industry publication covering the world’s private debt markets, is looking for a financial journalist to join its editorial team as a Reporter in the US, where our office is based in Midtown Manhattan, New York.

Published by PEI Media Group (www.thisispei.com), Private Debt Investor tracks the activities and growing influence of alternative credit providers worldwide (e.g. Blackstone, KKR, MetLife and Oaktree Capital), and provides a complete news and intelligence service for the markets it covers.

Its rapidly expanding subscriber base include fund managers, direct lenders and other non-bank providers of debt financing; private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers seeking to raise financing for acquisitions from these sources; investors aiming to understand the benefits of incorporating private debt strategies in their investment portfolios; as well as financial, legal and regulatory intermediaries involved in the investment process.

Requirements

The current vacancy is an opportunity for an ambitious individual ideally with some experience of covering financial markets who wishes to advance their career, and to build a strong personal profile in one of the most dynamic areas of Wall Street.

Breaking news, feature writing, comment and analysis will be part of the day-to-day. Essential requirements are a nose for a story, great writing, strong interpersonal skills and a proven record of effective networking and relationship-building in a difficult-to-penetrate segment of the financial world. Knowledge of private investment markets will be a distinct advantage.

The candidate should be a team player, prepared to bring great ideas and strategic vision to editorial discussions, as well as a highly motivated self-starter prepared to immerse themselves in the market and the subject matter.
