Barron's is seeking an authoritative writer to provide in-depth and sophisticated analysis of stocks and other investments, including whether to buy or sell.
Picking stocks has always been at the core of what Barron's does, and the writer should be able to identify the forces driving individual stocks and, through deep reporting and financial analysis, tell readers which stocks to buy and when. The successful candidate will understand financial statements, be able to separate the meaningful information from the noise and not be a prisoner of consensus thinking. The ability to do original reporting through interviews with key executives and other sources is a must - as is the writing stories in captivating ways. At key moments, the writer will also be asked to make buy or sell calls on stocks that are on the move. Buy-side or sell-side experience is a plus.
Barron's strongly values teamwork, so the ability to collaborate with reporters, editors and our visual journalists is a must.
Interested parties should send a resume and cover letter to David.Cho@barrons.com and Bob.Rose@barrons.com and apply through the link on this job posting.
