Description

We’re Future. We’re 3000+ colleagues over 250+ brands speaking to 400 million people every month across the globe through websites, events and magazines. We haven’t just survived over the past couple of years, we’ve thrived, increasing our audience share, taking more number one positions, acquiring new businesses and launching new brands.

And we don’t plan on stopping any time soon.

We’ve got ambitious plans that build on our growth momentum and unlock new opportunities and we’re looking for talented people who want to be a part of it.

Homebuilding & Renovating is Britain’s leading brand for people who build, extend or renovate their own home. With a market-leading consumer magazine and one of the UK’s leading homes websites (homebuilding.co.uk), we’re skilled in producing the best content across all platforms in our field. We inspire, educate and inform our audience on everything from house design ideas, innovative products to the best ways to manage builders and designers. Our team works hard and expects our content to lead the way in depth and scope. We love our homes, and work closely and creatively to find new ways to provide our audience with what they need to know.

As Website Editor, you'll work alongside the Brand Editor and Editor-in-Chief to deliver the digital content strategy for Homebuilding & Renovating, ensuring it ranks as highly as possible for target critical terms. Monitoring traffic opportunities, you'll ensure content is in-depth, high quality and SEO-driven to maximise that opportunity (underpinned by Google's EAT principles). Of course you'll also be responsible for writing, editing and commissioning digital content where required.

Requirements

  • Experience of creating content for websites
  • First-rate SEO expertise and a keen interest in and understanding of analytical tools
  • A keen interest in and understanding of the homes media space and, ideally, in self build and renovation
  • Ability to manage a small team of writers
  • Exceptional writing, editing skills and attention to detail — from the ability to write snappy headlines to tight grammar control, through to the ability to choose just the right image to draw people in

Benefits

As well as our standard benefits, we have a number of awesome perks available to our staff including:

  • Unlimited paid time off (yes you read that right!)
  • A share in our success- every member of staff receives a profit pool bonus at the end of our financial year
  • Huge opportunities to learn and develop whether through professional qualifications, exposure to incredible business projects or informal lunch & learns, hosted by your colleagues
