Dow Jones is seeking an Intern, Experimentation to join our Experimentation team.

The team is responsible for designing, prioritizing and executing digital experimentation across wsj.com and barrons.com to incrementally increase the rate at which we engage and retain our members.

As an Intern of the Experimentation team you will work on a wide range of experiments and contribute to delivering the experimentation roadmap from end to end. The successful candidate will increase his/her skills and knowledge in experimentation strategy, execution and analysis, as well as stakeholder management and communication.

This position is highly dynamic and requires a high level of interpersonal skills and flexibility to adapt to different context, topics and stakeholders.

The Intern, Experimentation will report to the Director, Experimentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate experiment hypotheses based on data, insights and best practices
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers and UX Researchers to help develop experiment strategies and help manage the design, technical development, and launch of experiments, monitoring results once live.
  • Analyze and report on experiment results and insights, possibly incorporating UX research insights too.
  • Assist in the development of quarterly roadmaps, covering ideation, prioritization & sign off
  • Ensure that experimentation documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Ensure the experimentation roadmap is up-to-date
  • Support the team in the publishing the experimentation newsletter
  • Contribute to the optimisation of experimentation processes and development of our experimentation culture


Required Skill Set:

 

  • Undergraduate or graduate, with at least two years of your degree
  • High level of interest in Digital Experimentation (A/B Testing, Multivariate Testing), Product Development, and/or Analytics
  • Experience working on / volunteering for education or cultural projects
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English. Other languages are considered a plus
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience drafting and editing reports
  • High level of interpersonal skills
  • Well-organized and have strong project management skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and developed organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to learn fast and adapt to different contexts and topics
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
