ABOUT THE ROLE

Runner’s World is the UK’s leading running website, magazine and podcast. Our goal is to help runners of all ages and abilities achieve their health, fitness and performance goals with trustworthy, expert advice and inspirational stories, across print and digital.

This is a varied, fast-paced, cross-platform role in the Runner’s World editorial team. You’ll conceive and write stories and features primarily for the website, but also for the magazine – it could be anything from a news story, profile feature, SEO update, e-commerce piece, gear review or round-up. You’ll occasionally be required to commission pieces from external freelance contributors. You’ll work with the Editor-in-Chief, Digital Executive Editor and the rest of the editorial team to generate compelling, innovative and impactful cross-platform content ideas.

ABOUT YOU

You’ll be a driven and hardworking person with a can-do attitude and plenty of initiative. You’ll be passionate about conceiving, researching and writing high-quality content, and have excellent attention to detail. You should have a good understanding of the Runner’s World brand and audience as well as the wider running market. Experience of working in digital media, with an understanding of SEO, analytics and content management systems is desirable.
