The Trust is the award-winning, in-house branded content studio for The Wall Street Journal | Barron's Group. We create powerful, intelligent branded content and experiences that influence the world's decision-makers.

Within The Trust, the Creative Operations team is the center of excellence for the management and production of our custom programs - working closely with our blue chip clients and our energetic internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Editorial, Design, Development and Planning. The custom work spans a variety of print and digital media deliverables, encompassing live events, written articles, immersive digital experiences, print, video, data visualizations, animation, research white papers, podcasts and more. Familiarity with media plans/placements and campaign launches is key.

This team is dedicated to white-glove client service, both internally and externally and goes above and beyond standard media buys. They act as our client advocates and work with internal departments to ensure that our clients needs are understood and satisfied.

The Creative Operations Executive will report into the Creative Director & Executive Editor, APAC.

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate is articulate, highly organized, resourceful, solutions-oriented, customer service-focused, a great communicator, problem solver, has a great attitude and is a team player. Fluency in English and Japanese is a must.

When leading a campaign, the Creative Operations Executive is responsible for managing the production of all elements of a client's program and collaborating with the relevant Dow Jones teams to ensure the success of the campaign, matched to the client's objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Working with Sales Client Partners to support and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships and driving renewals through the successful management of custom campaigns, event activations and research components
  • Serving as the main POC in delivering on clients' objectives and KPIs.
  • Successfully coordinating end-to-end production, execution and optimization of client campaigns
  • Oversees cross-department collaboration and knows how/when to efficiently leverage necessary resources
  • Leads all client communications for dedicated campaigns
  • Sets expectations, and manages quality of deliverables to deadline
  • Effective production and management of timeline including timeline development and internal approval, timing updates and milestone communications with client and agency
  • Manages client and internal status calls; responsible for agendas
  • Ensure smooth production and implementation from campaign kick off to campaign wrap-up-consistently updates timelines and project management resources (content, promotion of content, traffic drivers, tagging, performance) and maintains clear communication with all campaign stakeholders

Requirements:
  • Fluent in oral and written Japanese and English
  • 2-3 years of experience project managing creative production
  • 2-3 years of experience in white glove client management service
  • Experience with project management systems (i.e. Basecamp, Asana, Wrike, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills - ability to manage multiple, deadline-driven, projects with cross-functional groups at the same time
  • Write production briefs for, and vet vendors' proposals in close collaboration with the project team
  • Organize production logistics, oversee vendor outreach and talent sourcing and provide a consistent touchpoint for production partners
  • Collaborate across teams to maintain vendor sourcing documentation and handle contracting and payment of vendors
  • Highly detail-oriented individual
  • Basic understanding of digital media planning and performance, ad operations, and custom brand research studies
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Solution-minded, always proactively looking for ways to improve efficiency and solve challenges
