Through our unique combination of technology and editorial, we also support our subscribers with influencer discovery, digital trend forecasting and news from the influencer space. Our platforms are used by a wide variety of businesses from the BBC and Sky, to Revolution Beauty and Bumble.

The role
We are seeking an editor to lead day-to-day publishing across our two platforms and manage our in-house team of three writers and one sub-editor. The editor will also commission weekly features from our global correspondents working primarily with writers in South Korea, the Middle East and North America. This person should be well-versed in the influencer industry and creator economy, have a strong instinct for news as well as the ability to ensure all copy is tightly written, led by research and easy to read. They should also be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to react quickly to news and analytics data. An interest in digital culture, social media and the future of the internet is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Work with CORQ’s features director to produce a weekly schedule of features and trend reports across our two platforms.
  • Commission daily news-focused reports and comment pieces from our in-house team of writers.
  • Liaise with our sub-editor to ensure development of our independent influencer database is happening at pace and reflecting the needs of our subscribers.
  • Commission weekly features, case studies, comment pieces and analyses from our global correspondent network.
  • Edit and publish all features and reports for both platforms.
  • Work with our in-house team to ensure they are developing their own skills and feel supported in pursuing stories.
  • Lead bespoke research projects and present findings to CORQ clients and subscribers.

Requirements

  • A minimum of six years working in journalism, preferably in a digital environment.
  • A minimum of two years working as an editor.
  • Excellent editing skills.
  • Experience of working in B2B publishing and an understanding of the B2B reader.
  • Experience in publishing via a CMS.
  • Experience in reviewing data analytics systems to analyse user behaviour and make decisions taking this into account.
  • Track record of editorially planning and staying on top of a publishing schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills - this person will be expected to liaise frequently and work with our commercial and client services teams.

Benefits

  • Salary of £45K-£50K DOE.
  • Quarterly bonus.
