MailOnline, Freelance Picture Editor (Sport)

MailOnline Sport is looking for a talented Freelance Picture Editor to join the London Sports Digital team.
 

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in editing picture content and coordinating picture coverage in a fast-paced 24-hour digital news environment.

Requirements include:

• Ability to edit and source picture content for online news operation

• Ability to liaise with reporters and conduct picture research to illustrate stories

• Ability to utilise graphic design work to create story previews, maps and graphs when required

• Strong background in sports video journalism

• Strong knowledge of football, boxing, F1, UFC, tennis, golf, rugby and cricket

Essential skills:

• Must have good technical knowledge of most major picture editing software and publishing systems, particularly Adobe Photoshop

• Must have Solid newspaper, magazine or news website experience

• Must have the ability to gather information and create compelling digital content

• Must work productively within a team environment

• Must have an understanding of legal covenants and an understanding of copyright

• Must have strong communication and people skills

• Must be flexible regarding shift patterns (including weekends and nights)
