Job Details
This is an exciting role for a creative and talented journalist, with a scientific background, to join the award-winning team at The Pharmaceutical Journal. The Senior Clinical Reporter ensures The Journal provides its readers with the best news and analysis in its sector. They will creatively engage our audience through data-driven stories, investigations, multimedia content and breaking exclusive news.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, preferably in science, pharmacy or medicine.
- Journalism training and/or at least two years’ experience of writing news and features.
- Strong news sense, with evidence of generating exclusive news stories.
- Excellent communication and writing/editing skills.
- Methodical and accurate approach to work, yet able to work to tight deadlines.
- Experience working with online publishing tools, multimedia content and data analysis is desirable.
- Commissioning experience is desirable.
The Team
The Senior Clinical Reporter would join our six-strong news and views team, who work closely together to break exclusive news, conduct in-depth investigations and showcase opinions that challenge and inspire change. We do this through both written and multimedia content, including podcasts and interactive infographics.
How we are currently working
RPS supports and works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home, however, there will be an expectation for collaborative face-to-face working – on average and typically this may be something between 4-8 working days per month at our London Office.
