Do you have a keen editorial eye and the ability to craft compelling narratives that engage and inform industry leaders worldwide? Airline Economics—the leading publication for the global aviation finance and leasing sector—is looking for a talented and visionary Editor to join our dynamic team.

About the Role:

As Editor, you will lead the creation of industry-defining content, shaping the voice and vision of Airline Economics stable of publications. From in-depth feature articles to breaking news, video interviews, and podcast programming, you will be at the forefront of delivering timely, insightful, and authoritative coverage of aviation finance trends, market analysis, and global developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce six issues of Airline Economics per year, daily news articles online and a daily newsletter, as well as several annual supplements including the Aero Engine Guide, MRO Global, Law Guide, with contributions to ESG Global and Aviation Life copy.
  • Commission, write, and edit high-quality articles, features, and reports.
  • Produce high quality podcast and video content across several channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry leaders, analysts, and contributors.
  • Lead and manage a team of writers and freelancers, ensuring digital and magazine content meets our high standards.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to deliver visually engaging publications.
  • Liaise with the sales teams to plan future features and multimedia content.
  • Represent the publication at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • A skilled writer and editor with proven experience in journalism or publishing (aviation or finance experience is a major advantage).
  • Proficient in creating multimedia content, including video interviews and podcasts.
  • Passionate about aviation and its pivotal role in the global economy.
  • A strategic thinker, able to identify and report on emerging industry trends.
  • Highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • A strong communicator and networker, comfortable engaging with C-suite professionals and industry leaders.
