The Team: Morningstar UK’s website welcomes 250,000 private investors and financial professionals each month. These users value Morningstar.co.uk for its extensive data, independent investment research (stocks, funds, investment trusts and ETFs) and portfolio management tools. The website empowers individuals to take control of their financial lives by providing independent, engaging, accessible and actionable investment tools and content. Morningstar.co.uk editorial combines investor education with investment news and trends, analytical commentary and actionable investing ideas.

The Role: The role of the web editor/journalist is to produce original editorial via articles and videos that educate and engage the investor, drive traffic and showcase Morningstar’s capabilities. The web editor/journalist will be heavily involved in generating content ideas, creating engaging editorial content, commissioning content from elsewhere in the business, and programming the content on the site to ensure maximum viewership.
The web editor/journalist is keen to empower investors by providing editorial on all aspects of the investment process, from goal-setting to financial planning; investment research to portfolio management; preparing for, transitioning to, and investing in retirement; and understanding investment trends and history.
The successful applicant will play a key role in influencing the future direction of the site. The web editor/journalist plays an essential role in bringing together Morningstar’s research, data and video capabilities, while supporting product management. The successful applicant will be equally comfortable interviewing subjects on camera, writing education material for new investors, and disseminating investment data for sophisticated investors.
The role offers considerable room for creativity and the opportunity to build strong research skills. It would be an ideal role for someone with a broad knowledge of financial topics, experience of producing web editorial to deadline, and a hands-on approach to day-to-day content management and social media.
This position is based in our London office.
