REPORTS TO: Editor
The Pharma Letter, a leader in the provision of up-to-date news, business intelligence, comment and analysis for the global pharmaceutical, biotechnology and generics industry, is seeking a sub-editor to work from its Putney office (South West London).
Applicants must have a reasonable knowledge of the Pharma and Biotech industry, and an appetite to learn a lot more. Proven writing and web / social media skills are necessary, as the post will include updating the publication’s web site and social media presence in addition to writing articles and editing stories submitted by overseas correspondents.
• UK resident living in London, or within easy reach
• Degree educated, or equivalent work experience
• Commercial journalism experience and first class writing skills
• Perfect written and spoken English
• Excellent news, web and social media skills
• Able to work under pressure, accurately and to a deadline
• Ability to be part of a physical / remote working team
Skills in brief; subbing, editing, proof-reading, writing, interviewing, attending press conferences, managing social media channels, working with web content curation, analysis and broadcast tools.
