  • To run Best’s website and oversee the brand’s digital platforms, reporting to the eds’ office
  • To build Best’s digital brand presence, ensuring it remains ahead of its competitors in the market
  • To work across departments  - editorial, commercial, marketing and digital – to help develop the brand’s commercial viability and increase brand awareness


  • Head up our newly developed website, managing the digital team and working closely with the wider editorial team
  • Drive strategy to increase traffic and commercial opportunities
  • Hold news meetings throughout the day and oversee all content on the site
  • Generate original story ideas – whether image, video or print-led
  • Work closely with the sister print brand, identifying and maximizing Best’s brand identity
  • Develop new and innovative content and structure ideas to increase visitors and bolster user engagement
  • Respond quickly to build on successes both short-term and in the context of long term development
  • Oversee and develop Best’s content across social media networks
  • Innovate content and strengthen and build on Best’s digital offering


  • Previous experience on a successful digital brand and editing commercial, rapidly-developing web sites
  • A digital genius, able to translate digital know-how into a commercially viable proposition for Best as a brand
  • Comfortable in a managerial position – able to work independently and with a team
  • Innovative, calm under pressure, resourceful
  • Quick thinker, able to put ideas into action rapidly and effectively
  • Stickler for detail, proactive and driven
  • Editorially intuitive and knowledgeable of Best’s core content pillars
  • Forensic knowledge of Best magazine’s demographic and how it overlaps/differs from that of Best’s website
  • Excellent communicator with people in all areas and at all levels of the business
  • Commercially savvy and editorially creative – and able to mix the two
  • Knowledgeable about current trends, developing technologies and adept at using that knowledge to benefit the brand
