Cogora is a media company that has six market-leading magazine/website titles in its portfolio: Nursing in Practice, The Commissioning Review, Management in Practice, Pulse, HospitalHealthcare Europe and Hospital Pharmacy Europe.
We’re looking for two dynamic individuals to join our team as Features Editors – one to work on Nursing in Practice and another to focus on both The Commissioning Review and Mnagement in Practice. Both Features Editors will report directly to the Editor-in-Chief.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing all aspects of the magazine from commissioning content through to print and distribution to key contacts and contributors
- Acting as an ambassador for the brand identifying and attending relevant conference
- Arranging meetings with key opinion leaders and raising the brand profile with relevant organisations
- Suggesting improvements work with our web tech assistants and in-house digital marketing manager to ensure the web and other multimedia tools are fully utilised
- Communicating with line managers, events, sales, designers and printers to ensure a smooth running of the print process.
- Meeting deadlines for production and in house deadlines set by your line managers
- Sourcing and writing features for both online and web aiming to get exclusivity on reports being publishes and exclusive news stories
- Developing a comprehensive network of contacts within the field with whom you stay in regular contact with
Key skills:
- Excellent writing, editing and communication skills
- Ability to research
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work with a team and adapt to new challenges
- Keen news sense
- Ability meet multiple deadlines
Experience required:
- Educated to degree level
- Knowledge of social media
- A background in health reporting would be beneficial but not essential
- At least one year’s experience in an editorial role
Salary: DoE
