The Parent Zone, the UK's leading organisation making the internet work for families, is looking for an Editor for its online and offline publications. We have recently launched Parent Info, delivered via schools' websites, providing information on subjects from bullying to violent extremism, sex and relationships to self-harm.

We publish content on a weekly basis, commissioned from leading experts and written in-house, with the aim of providing a world class service. We also publish Digital Parenting magazine (1.2m copies distributed in the last year) and supply content about the internet and families for parents, teachers, social workers and police officers on behalf of a range of third parties, including many of the world's largest tech companies.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced web and/or print journalist with a passion for good writing, accuracy, social media and the issues that affect families. You will manage a small team of writers developing ideas and content strategy; you will develop our social media strategy and presence; and you will be comfortable with running several editorial projects at once. You will run the content for our website, currently in the process of being completely revamped, and provide interesting and attention-grabbing content for our community of subscribers (mainly teachers, social workers, police officers).

This is a great opportunity for someone to develop an area of expertise dealing with some of the most interesting subjects facing families today. The right candidate will have considerable scope to develop fantastic content; to overhaul our social media activity; and to run a small team of dynamic and enthusiastic young people.

Please send a CV and covering letter to the Editorial Director, Geraldine Bedell, by clicking 'Apply now'.
