LV=, Press Officer
We are looking for a Press Officer to join our award-winning media relations team. The small but busy in-house team is responsible for maintaining LV=’s reputation by dealing with incoming journalist queries as well as proactively achieving positive coverage on our products and business in the UK broadcast, print and online media.
The role will involve promoting a number of our insurance, investment and retirement solutions products.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic self-starter with media relations experience and a ‘can-do’ attitude to learn from the best in the business.
Now, what will we need from you? Well it goes without saying that you will have excellent written and organisational skills, lots of initiative and attention to detail. We need you to know what is newsworthy and have the ability to speak to the press and act as spokesperson for the organisation. You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills and be comfortable dealing with all levels of management. You’ll be used to dealing with journalists face-to-face and on the phone, with the ability to grasp complex issues and products quickly.
As you might imagine in a fast-paced media relations team, you will from time-to-time be required to work outside normal office hours at media or industry events, so flexibility is a requirement.
Sector knowledge is not crucial although knowledge of the financial services industry would be a clear bonus.
