SWNS, Britain’s biggest national news agency, is looking for Feature Writers to join our award-winning team.
What we're looking for
Applications are welcome from enthusiastic new starters and experienced Reporters alike - all we ask is that you have NCTJ qualifications or similar, 100wpm shorthand, a clean driving licence and your own car.
A sense of humour will also be an asset, as will an obsession with grammar and an eye for a good pun.
The ideal candidate will be able to spot a good story, have creative flair and a fierce competitive edge.
They will live and breathe the MailOnline, the Sun and other tabloids, and be familiar with real life magazines such as Take a Break and Woman.
The responsibilities of the role include sourcing, pitching and writing real-life stories for the women’s magazines and newspaper feature sections, as well as working alongside TV programmes including This Morning and Good Morning Britain.
Successful candidates will be maximising our existing content, developing their own exclusive material and managing relationships with clients and publishers.
The role will also include helping to manage and edit our own online real life magazine, real-fix.com.
Previous experience of local newspaper or agency journalism is preferred but we will consider all exceptional candidates.
