Radio Times is recruiting a Staff Writer to write sparkling copy, conduct incisive interviews and break agenda-setting news stories.
Working across the award-winning magazine and fast growing website, you will be a key player in an experienced and talented editorial team. This is a permanent position based in our office in Brook Green, London, W6.
Radio Times not only previews the best in the week's broadcasting but also sets the entertainment news agenda. You will have a contacts book bulging with the names of key players in television and radio and a sharp eye for a story.
The successful applicant will be part of the magazine's features desk, writing stories for that week's issue, working closely with the Commissioning Editors and reporting to the Executive Editor and Editor.
He/she will not only contribute to the features pages but also write across the magazine and website, contributing to Radio Times fast growing reputation for breaking news.
You will understand our readers interests but also appreciate the bigger picture of a fast changing broadcasting landscape. Much as our readers want to know about the best in television and radio they also want to be part of the national conversation.
You must be able to focus on the stories that will place Radio Times at the heart of that conversation, generating maximum coverage for our exclusives in the national press, whilst also satisfying the needs of a loyal readership.
