Archant Digital is the central hub for over 140 brands, each with websites, apps, email products, mobile solutions, social media, video and much more. Our rapidly developing digital team is looking for a committed team member to help implement and devise new content strategies and drive digital revenues for our successful portfolio.
Working closely with editorial teams across both our newspaper and magazine divisions, you will ensure that the content being produced for Archant’s digital platforms is the best it can be by delivering SEO, social, mobile, platform and more general digital training and advice to local teams.
This role will involve the creation of some content, but more regularly you will advise the local teams around the business as to how to better the existing or upcoming content created by local editorial teams – as a result you will be required to frequently visit the Archant offices around the country for face-to-face consultations. The end goal of all of your activity will always be to grow digital users and content views with the aim to increase digital revenues across the business.
You will also work with the central digital team on a daily basis to devise digital policies and strategies in order to help grow commercial revenues through growing and targeted user groups.
You will also work very closely with the Digital Commercial Managers in order to roll out new content processes and to train and empower them to support their teams in delivery of digital commercial objectives.
You will collaborate with the editorial, subscriptions, customer engagement, mobile/apps and the product management team to ensure that all products and platforms are capable of delivering content and sales targets meeting the requirements of the user and the brand.
The Digital Content Development Manager will be required to lead a growing team of digital content staff, who help to plan and roll out new projects across Archant’s 140 brands. The team is driven, enthusiastic and innovative and so you must be open to all new ideas and be able to continue to encourage and drive growth for the team and the wider business.
This role requires a high level of digital experience and all applicants must have a good knowledge of SEO, social media management and policies, writing for digital readers, analytics software and ideally a good understanding of the digital advertising or programmatic environment.
Ideally from a media background, you will be a team player with superb communication skills.
You will combine a hands-on approach with creative thinking to formulate innovative ideas and to recommend the best digital marketing solutions for editorial and commercial teams alike. Confident, passionate about digital and a strong motivator, you must be capable of coaching and delivering through others with a proven track record of growing digital assets.
Benefits include a competitive salary, pension scheme and a range of other staff benefits.
