heat, Style Editor
heat – the UK’s biggest celebrity and entertainment weekly – is looking for a creative, passionate and talented Style Editor to join the team and edit our new fashion and beauty section, Wear It’s At.
If you’re an ideas machine, who's able to spot an emerging trend faster than you can slip into your Gucci-copy faux fur trimmed loafers, we want to hear from you.
You’ll have an encyclopaedic knowledge of style setters from celebs to street stars, Instagram big hitters, and A-list Snapchatters, know which makeup maestro is strobing which A-lister, and an obsessive urge to discover new brands and beauty hacks we need in our lives.
Based in London, you’ll be working closely with the Style Director and Editor to create and deliver truly unique fashion and beauty features dripping with heat DNA. This a role that will be heading up the newly curated 'Wear its at' style section for the title.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate experience of brilliant styling, the ability to spin a straight fashion and beauty trend out of norm core, savvy copy writing and editing skills, excellent PR contacts, page craft, coverline writing and a true enthusiasm for everything fashion, beauty and celebrity.
You’ll have reached deputy section editor level, ideally on a weekly title, and be a highstreet-loving ninja at commissioning, multi tasking and working to tight deadlines.
Please send a CV, covering letter, a 300 word critique of the current Wear It’s At section along with 4 fashion and beauty feature ideas which you think would be unique to heat, to include 2 tried and tested ideas – to Laura Donaldson by completing the application form below by 10 August.
Only successful candidates will be contacted.
