Talented and ambitious editor required for a market-leading business journal covering the delivery, economics and politics of social care services across the UK.
Recently shortlisted for the PPA Independent Publishers’ Award for ‘Relaunch of the Year’, LaingBuisson’s B2B title Care Markets is a highly respected journal aimed at a c-suite provider and advisor audience.
Trusted for its insights and independence, the quality of its journalism is matched by the depth of data and analysis it can access from title owner healthcare intelligence provider LaingBuisson – the chosen provider of independent health and social care market data to the Office for National Statistics.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced journalist to take editorial responsibility for their own journal.
Working in a small team, you will need to be a highly motivated self-starter who is adept at juggling conflicting and changing priorities.
You will be supported by a Staff Reporter who writes across Care Markets and its sister title Healthcare Markets, and a Publishing Director with whom you will co-create publishing schedules and create print and digital versions of the journal.
Experience of editing and working on a B2B publication – and an understanding of how such audiences work – is required.
You will have full charge for the research, writing, commissioning, design and pre-press production of all content required to produce ten annual editions of Care Markets.
Knowledge of the UK social care sector is desirable and you will be expected to take steps to grow your networks quickly and ensure that you are first in line for breaking news stories affecting the sector.
A friendly atmosphere, contributory pension scheme, potential to work flexibly and the opportunity to contribute your ideas to a growing and dynamic organisation await the right individual.
