British Business Bank, Corporate Communications Manager
In this position you will help build and maintain the reputation and positive standing of the British Business Bank through all external media to communicate the Bank’s role in supporting SMEs and the government’s Industrial Strategy.
As the organisation embarks on a period of high-growth you will look to enhance the organisation’s reputation with smaller businesses through high-quality external communications, whilst developing the bank’s external social media presence to extend the reach of its Communications activities.
You will have experience of working on high profile campaigns and media relations programmes in a busy press office or communications environment, as well as being able to demonstrate an understanding and practical experience of social media and its use in integrated communications campaigns to support and advance the Bank’s communications objectives.
The British Business Bank is a unique and exciting new institution. Our objective is to make finance markets work better for UK small businesses. It was established in 2014 as a development bank for the UK managed independently from Government and under the governance of its own board of directors, with the aim of improving access to finance for small and medium sized businesses.
We have around £4bn of capital resources and operate as a wholesale institution in a wide range of financial services markets ranging from bank lending to venture capital. Currently, we employ around 250 people, split between our two offices in London and our Sheffield office.
