Arcadis, Head of Communications
Arcadis, a UK Superbrand for the second year running, is recruiting a Head of Communications to join our team in London.
The Arcadis brand has taken huge leaps in recent times – since entering the UK market back in 2015 – and there are ambitious plans to further elevate our presence and recognition across our industry and further afield.
As part of the wider, 15-strong Marketing and Communications team, you will be responsible for leading PR/media, social media/web, public affairs, as well as the business’ strategy around messaging and brand building of key Arcadis experts.
Arcadis’ brand strategy is multi-faceted and integrated, centering on thought leadership and content-led campaigns, corporate sponsorship with the Great Run Company and a city-focussed strategic positioning initiative.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you’ll be required to work with colleagues, senior stakeholders and the retained agency to deliver results.
An experienced senior communications professional, you will have outstanding stakeholder management skills, a creative eye and an aptitude for strategic planning and presenting. We are proud to be a high performing team and welcome those who share our desire to be the best.
Key lines of responsibility will be:
- Interaction with senior stakeholders to drive engagement and endorsement for commercially-focussed marcomms strategy
- Managing PR/comms and digital marketing professionals
- Devising campaign strategy and messaging to support key bids and thematic brand campaigns
- Coach and mentor senior individuals within Arcadis for media and speaking opportunities, as well as proposition development
- Effectively present strategy to senior leaders across the UK and global business
- Managing external agency to deliver ROI in line with campaign and bid strategy
- Working with the city executive to effectively position them in their key markets through events programme, media and political engagement
What we’re looking for:
Stakeholder management: the ability to build strong working relationships with senior colleagues and gain advocacy for and participation in strategy.
Analytical thinking: Able to link communications strategy to revenue and lead generation.
Problem solving: desire to explore new ideas, particularly around articulating the evolving Arcadis brand campaigns, and responsive to issues management.
Leadership skills: able to present activity, plans and approaches to senior stakeholders and wider marketing and communications team.
Current affairs: strong interest in wider political and economic environment and ability to link to Arcadis propositions.
Flexibility: remain flexible to changing individual situations and personalities, and have the ability to deal with ambiguity.
