The Wall Street Journal seeks a London-based reporter who loves exploring the intricacies of financial markets and wants to share that knowledge with the Journal’s two million-plus readers.

The job involves real-time explanation of why markets do what they do -- be it in stocks, bonds, currencies (crypto included), commodities or derivatives -- as well as in newfangled assets not yet invented.

The preferred candidate will have several years of experience and a demonstrated ability to demystify the world of money and ferret out the winners and losers in the biggest global financial trades. There should be a deep curiosity in banking, finance, companies, investing, central banks and capital flows.

The ability to use visual tools to change how we display and distribute the best of our financial journalism is key. The person should be eager, flexible, fast, good natured and want to work on a team of like-minded financial markets junkies who have a passion for great journalism. The job is based in London, the perfect spot to scan global markets for the most compelling tales in the financial world.
